I found a new online giving program today that's worth a minute of your time to check out.

MatchSavings.org helps poor people in developing countries to open savings accounts in their local credit unions. Contributions from people like you and me match their savings to help them build up enough money to afford their children's school fees, install indoor plumbing, cover the costs of basic healthcare or even start a microbusiness.

Saving for change makes sense. Instead of giving people handouts that help temporarily or loans they cannot really afford, you give people the boost they need to achieve their goals and to better provide for their families into the future.
