Jesus is my Lord and Savior and He is good!

Daniel B

DeKalb, Illinois

I gave for others to have what I have, happiness. If I can give little and they receive much, there is no downside. The world would be just a little better if we remember we're all brothers and sisters.

Billy D

To remember my sweet son, Jonah, who I miss but am so grateful to have had in my life for 19 years.

I think this is a great idea: helping people to save with matching funds rather than helping with a loan.

Leah L

United States of America

I have been blessed with a good life, and I wish to share it with others in a way that empowers people and communities to transform their lives.

Jeanne R

I have long been concerned about the economic
disparity in the world. My husband and I sponsor three
children through Child World (formerly Christian
Children's Fund) and am interested in these children
being educated. I think micro loans for projects and
for savings is vitally important.
I think that we who are able to give should
help others help themselves. I decided to get involved
further after reading Nicholas Kristoff's column on
this program.

My children have the luxury of an expensive education, so this is my way of helping another child out there receive one too in what I consider to be the best way out of poverty.

Walter A

St. Augustine, Florida
United States of America

Putting myself thru 15 years of a medical education taught me all about saving and effort.
Twenty years into my practice, I was driven in to virtual bankruptcy.
It has been a struggle get back on my feet. Saving and industrious attitude is the formula for pulling oneself out of such a mire.
This is my small tribute, acknowleding what these people are trying to accomplish.

Janette K

Because I believe in the people running the program. And when people have savings, they have options. I want to help people have options in life.

Terry J

We have so much opportunity in this country. It doesn’t seem fair that people should have to struggle so much for even the basics. Thank you for starting this program.

I've been fortunate to have people in my life who've taught me the wisdom and power of saving. It's an honor to pass that gift on to others!

Cynthia E

It is the right thing to do

Janet Z

I live in Mexico and see firsthand how poor people have no access to savings accounts and have difficulty saving money. I would like to see this program spread throughout the world for low-income people.

A chance to give in a way where one gets to see the specific benefit of the giving process.
